O filme é a respeito de um professor idoso que gasta suas horas espionando as peripécias de uma jovem modelo no apartamento ao lado.

As eróticas poses ao espelho, festas selvagens e sexo atlético que ele vê são tão alienantes para ele que a realidade se dissolve - assim com a história - até que suas fantasias se tornam concretas.

George Harrison foi convidado para fazer a trilha sonora deste filme que conta com a participação de Eric Clapton e Ringo Star, é o primeiro disco solo de um Beatle.

O título serviu de inspiração para a mais famosa música da banda Oasis.
